Timber Mill Operative

Beesley and Fildes Ltd. have been a trusted name in the Builders Merchant industry for over 200 years, renowned for our quality materials and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking a Mill Operative to work in our Widnes branch.

As a Mill Operative, you will play a key role in producing high-quality timber products while maintaining our strict quality standards. Your responsibilities will include assisting with production, loading and unloading vehicles, and collaborating with the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the loading and unloading of timber products for storage or shipment
• Inspecting timber to ensure it meets quality standards before processing
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
• Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure products are delivered on time and to their satisfaction

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a timber mill or similar manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of timber types, grades, and specifications(preferred)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Experience in using a side loader / combi lift (preferred)
