As a Yard Operative, you will play a vital role in our operation, ensuring the smooth running of our yard and providing essential support to our customers.

Role Responsibilities.

  • Comply with all H&S requirements and maintain high level of housekeeping
  • Ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient and polite manner
  • Goods in/out – using appropriate methods and machinery to unload and dispatch goods
  • Keeping all plant and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues or faults as required
  • Maintain high levels of vigilance to secure site and protect assets

The Ideal Candidate.

  • Previous experience in a similar yard operative or construction-related role is highly desirable.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other relevant equipment (valid certifications preferred, but training can be provided).
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to use manual handling techniques.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to stock management.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and products is an advantage.
  • A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Once that’s complete you will be given access to our HIVE portal where your induction and relevant training is held for you to complete within one month of commencement
