We caught up with Chris, our brilliant Digital Marketing Executive, for a behind-the-scenes look at what his role involves – and how he brings our brand to life online.
Q: Tell us about your career.
A: I’ve been with Beesley & Fildes for 7 years now. Before that, I spent 17 years at Taskers, working across departments including Timber, Fireplaces, Kitchens, and Lighting. I originally joined Beesleys in the Kitchen & Bathroom showroom at our Grafton Street branch, and since then, I’ve transitioned into the Digital Marketing team – it’s been a varied and exciting journey so far.
Q: What does your role entail, and what does a general day look like?
A: Coffee. Music. Random songs. More coffee. My day usually kicks off with a strong brew and a playlist to match the mood – from 80s classics to indie hits. Once I’m plugged in, it’s a mix of social media planning, campaign creation, writing content like white papers, and helping organise charity events.
As part of the Digital Marketing team, I cover everything from managing social media channels and creating white papers to supporting events, promotions, and charity campaigns. It’s a creative, fast-paced role that keeps me on my toes – no two days are ever the same, and there’s always something new to tackle.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
A: I love the variety – the chance to be creative, get involved in different projects, and see ideas come to life. There’s a real team spirit here, and it’s great to work in a place where your contributions are valued and where people genuinely care about what they do.
Q: And finally, tell us a fun fact about yourself.
A: I have encyclopaedic film knowledge – seriously, ask me who starred in what and I’ll probably have the answer without even blinking.
