But, our role goes far beyond materials and deliveries. Being a community business means showing up, helping out, and giving back. Across our branches and Head Office, Beesley and Fildes proudly supports local charities, schools, colleges, and community projects that make a real difference. Our colleagues take part in the St Rocco’s Hospice Christmas Tree Collection, helping raise funds while supporting a cause close to many families. We also stand behind Bobby Spencer’s charity, Willowbrook Hospice, and other local organisations that provide care, comfort and vital services to people in our communities.

 

Our commitment to the future of the construction industry is just as strong. We regularly donate materials to schools and colleges, helping young people learn practical skills and build confidence as they prepare for careers in the trades. From timber for joinery workshops, to aggregates for landscaping projects, we’re proud to help develop the next generation of builders, joiners, and craftspeople. We also support local community projects, donating materials to improve shared spaces, support neighbourhood initiatives, and bring community ideas to life.

 

And it’s not just the business – it’s our people too. Many of our colleagues raise money for local charities close to their hearts through personal challenges such as sponsored skydives and climbing Snowden.
