Welcome to our FAQ blog – your trusted source for clear, concise answers to common recruitment queries.

Q: I don’t see a vacancy that suits me — can I still submit my CV?

A: Definitely! New opportunities arise often, so we recommend regularly checking our careers page. You’re also welcome to email your CV to recruitment@beesleyandfildes.co.uk  along with a brief note on the type of roles you’re interested in. We’ll keep your details on file for future openings.

Q: Do I need specific qualifications or licences to apply?

A: Some roles may require specialist licences, such as a Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence. Each job advert will clearly indicate whether requirements are essential or desirable, so you can assess if it’s the right fit for you.

Q: Are there opportunities for progression?

A: Absolutely! We’re committed to nurturing talent and helping our team grow. With comprehensive training and apprenticeship options, employees are encouraged to speak with their line managers about career goals and build a development plan.

Q: What benefits do you offer?

A: In addition to Christmas leave, employees enjoy a generous holiday allowance, access to the Wagestream platform, staff discounts, and support through our Employee Assistance Programme. Training and career development opportunities are also part of our commitment to your growth.

Q: What does the application process involve?

A: Once we receive your CV, our recruitment team will review it and share it with the hiring manager if it’s a match. We’ll then contact you to arrange an interview at the branch. During the interview, you’ll meet the hiring manager (and possibly another team member), discuss your experience, learn more about the role, and have a chance to ask questions. If relevant, you’ll also tour the department. After all interviews are completed, we’ll contact the successful candidate to offer the role and agree a start date. You’ll receive an offer letter and contract to sign — the whole process typically takes 10–14 days, depending on your notice period.

Q: How do you support diversity and inclusion in recruitment?

A: We’re committed to fair and inclusive hiring practices. All applications are assessed based on merit, and we actively promote equal opportunities across our teams.

Q: Will my personal data be kept secure?

A: Absolutely. We comply with GDPR and handle all personal data with care. Your information is only used for recruitment purposes and never shared without your consent.

Q: What should I wear to the interview?

A: Smart casual is usually appropriate, but if you’re unsure, feel free to ask when your interview is scheduled. First impressions matter, so aim for neat and professional.

Q: Can I apply for more than one role at the same time?

A: Yes, you’re welcome to apply for multiple roles if they align with your skills and interests. Each application is reviewed individually, so feel free to explore all suitable opportunities.
