Wes Bracewell,  Branch Manager

 

Say hello to Wes, our brilliant Branch Manager at Swinton! With over 15 years in the industry, Wes brings a wealth of experience, energy, and leadership to the team — and he’s been a key part of the Beesley & Fildes family since 2018.

 

Wes started out in the yard as a fresh-faced 16-year-old, worked his way up through the sales counter, and eventually stepped into branch management. His journey is a great example of how hard work and dedication can lead to real career progression in the builders’ merchant sector.

 

What his typical day looks like:

No two days are ever quite the same for Wes — and that’s just how he likes it. As Branch Manager at Swinton, his role is a mix of hands-on operations, team leadership, and strategic planning.

A typical day might start with checking stock levels, reviewing deliveries, and making sure the yard and counter teams are set up for a smooth morning. From there, Wes is often liaising with suppliers, resolving customer queries, and keeping an eye on sales performance — all while making sure health and safety standards are met across the site.

It’s a fast-paced role, but Wes thrives on the variety, the challenge, and the chance to make a real impact every day.

 

What Wes loves about his job: 

For Wes, it’s all about the people. He’s proud to work with a close-knit team at Swinton, many of whom have worked together for years. That strong bond makes a real difference day to day.
