Timber Yard Operative

We are looking for a committed Yard Operative to become an integral part of our team in Widnes. In this role, you’ll help keep our yard running smoothly by ensuring materials are well-organised and accessible for customers.

Hours: Monday to Friday 07.30am – 17:00pm, and Saturdays 08:00am – 12:00pm.

Pay: This role is paid at the applicable National Minimum Wage rate

Responsibilities

• Assist in the organisation and maintenance of the yard area.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Assist customers to select and load their materials
• Support delivery operations by preparing orders for dispatch.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment (preferred)
• FLT Licence (essential)
• Health & Safety awareness and manual handling skills
