Yard Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a hands-on and safety-focused Yard supervisor to join our team in our Swinton branch.

Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am to 17:00pm, and alternate Saturday’s 08:00am – 12:00pm

Pay: £13 + per hour DOE

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the yard team in daily operations
• Ensure safe and efficient loading / unloading of customer and company vehicles
• Monitor and enforce Health and Safety procedures
• Maintain yard cleanliness, organisation and support stock control
• Liaise with branch staff and drivers to coordinate deliveries and collections
• Train and mentor new yard operatives, promoting a safety-first culture

Requirements:

• Previous Experience in a builders merchant setting is essential
• Previous supervisory / leadership experience is essential
• Forklift Truck Licence
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety and Manual Handling procedures
